Rotary del Sol Reach Out To Assist Families
In Need For Thanksgiving

(October 2008) Each year Rotary del Sol partners with the local Rancho Santa Margarita schools to provide Thanksgiving dinners for many local families that might otherwise go without a holiday meal.

With Thanksgivings day quickly approaching and an economic downturn creating more and more hardships for many families, this project has taken on a new level of heighten importance for the Coto de Caza/Rancho Santa Margarita Rotary del Sol. As in past years, Rotary del Sol members will provide approximately twenty Thanksgiving dinners complete with turkey, stuffing, side dishes and desserts. Rotary members deliver the meals to the families in need.

“Thanksgiving is all about taking a day to be grateful for the many blessings that we have in our lives and while we’re all feeling the economic pinch, most of us still have so much to be thankful for. Rotary del Sol is dedicated to reaching out to those in need, especially during the holiday season. ” states Dan Graham, President of Rotary del Sol.

Rotary del Sol is an organization of business and professional community leaders who encourage goodwill by promoting community service projects, helping local family and kids, supporting our troops and offering international humanitarian assistance.

Rotary del Sol was established in 2003 and serves the greater Rancho Santa Margarita and Coto de Caza. The club meets the third Wednesday morning of each month at 7:00 am at the Bell Tower Regional Community Center in Rancho Santa Margarita.
