Rotary del Sol is proud to announce the near completion and construction of  a new  Boys Town Play Area!  Over the last year, Rotary del Sol members have been gearing up to transform an undeveloped plot of land, located on the Boys Town residential facilty, into a welcoming and inviting grassy area for the children of Boys Town to enjoy.

After months of fundraising, planning and securing In Kind donations,  Rotary del Sol members, along with Rotarians from the evening Rotary Coto de Caza club, rallied family, friends and volunteers on April 18 & 25th , to develop the site and prepare it for its ultimate completion of  a small grassy play area for the children of the home to enjoy.

Over the two Saturday work days, everyone pitched in to get done whatever needed to get done.  Whether it was helping rototille the land, lay sod, plant plants or assemble picnic tables, everyone kept their eye on the end result - the children of Boys Town enjoying the new play area.  Even though the sun was scrotching, the work backbreaking, and the sprinkler system not fully cooperating, halting the work was NEVER an option.  Rotarians are known for their spirit of commitment once they sign on for a service project and the Boys Town Play Area project proved no different.
